Mr. Fix-It

Luke got some toy tools for Christmas which we thought he would be really excited about. On one hand, he does really like "Guke's" tools. When We go down into the basement, he always follows me down with Daddy's flashlight and Guke's flashlight so we can inspect things. But on the other hand, Daddy's tools work way better so when Daddy's tools are an option, his tools just won't do. Whether it is with my tools, grandpa's tools or with his own, he is becoming Mr. Fix-it. He helped me fix the sink a few weeks ago...



This week, we were at my Mom and Dad's house for a CPLED course. My mom asked me to go through all my old Nintendo games and consoles to determine which ones work and which ones needed to be thrown in the trash. It was a very nostalgic task and to my dismay, my investigation revealed that the SNES console was not functional. The truth is probably that it no longer works because it was way over used during its prime and now it just has nothing left. So, I decided to let Luke fix it. I gave him the console and one of Grandpa's drills (under close supervision of course) and let him attempt the repair job...





Needless to say, we were not able to repair the console and relive my teenage years. On the bright side, the first step to learning to repair something is learning how to dismantle it. At least Luke got a good dismantle lesson. On a separate note, if you have a SNES you don't want, let me know.
